This is very useful in electronic circuits to keep electrons from flowing where you do not want them.Procedure:Assemble the circuit and connect a 9-volt battery to the Battery Snap and observe that the LED is lit, showing that a current is flowing in the circuit. Now, take the Diode out of the Solderless Circuit Board and put it back in with the color band on the opposite end. The LED does not light up.Observations:By doing this experiment, you have seen that the current will flow through the Diode in one direction only.
