ETron Circuit Labs9.00 mAObjective:Lab 38 Watt’s Law1⁄1⁄1⁄1⁄1⁄In this Lab you will demonstrate Watts Law using resistors which dissipate power with heat.Step 1 – Take InventoryUsing the Parts Inventory as shown on the right under the “Here’s What You’ll Need” section, place each part needed for this experiment on its corresponding drawing. Observe the schematic symbol for each part. Make sure that you have all the parts ready before you begin Step 2.Step 2 – Build the CircuitUsing the Schematic Diagram and the picture of the completed lab, build the lab experiment with the electronic components, and then proceed to Step 3.Step 3:Procedure:Assemble the circuit and connect a 9-volt battery to the circuit with a 1K Ohm resistor. Touch the resistor with the tip of your finger. Is it warm? Now replace the 1K Ohm resistor with a 10 Ohm resistor. Does this resistor get warm? Now replace the 100 Ohm resistor with a 10 Ohm resistor. Does it get warm?Note: do not leave the resistors connected continually to the battery because the battery will wear out.74
