Step 3 – Procedure:Assemble the circuit and connect two 9-volt batteries in series and measure the voltage across them as shown in the schematic diagram. The reading should be approximately 18 volts. This is true because the voltages of batteries add together when they are in series. Therefore 9 volts plus 9 volts is 18 volts. Now, connect the 9-volts batteries in parallel and measure the voltage across them as shown in the other schematic diagram. This time the reading will be approximately 9 volts. Unlike batteries in series, batteries in parallel keep the same voltage. They do, however, give you additional current capacity which will make any Lab run longer. Here’s What You’ll Need...Batteries in Series R1B1B1Batteries in Parallel R1B1B1hole 5e470K & (Yellow, Violet, Yellow, Gold) hole 19bred = hole 5a black = hole 5ghole 5fred = hole 5c black = hole 5j0 MAred = hole 27c black = hole 19ehole 27c470K & (Yellow, Violet, Yellow, Gold) red = hole 27e black = hole 27bSCAN HERE TO SEE MORE ONLINE73Visit us online at www.ETronCircuit.com for more exciting projectsLAB 37Lab Observations
